A mixed chorus of 70 Worthington High School Students performed the Operetta "H.M.S. Pinafore" in the spring of 1946. The operetta starred David Timmons, Gary Carle, Herndon Harding, Joe Neds, Perry Strickland, Fred Weaver, Marilyn Christian, Fritzie Brake, and Jane Hoag. Vocal Music teacher Miss Elizabeth Bird directed. "H.M.S. Pinafore", or "The Lass that Loved a Sailor," is a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. It is a two act comedy and was first performed in 1878 at Opéra Comique, London England.
