Background

This photograph is a class picture for Homedale School's 3rd, 4th, 5th graders for the 1935-36 school year. Homedale was located at 50 Westview Avenue and was at one time part of the Worthington (Sharon Township) School District. Homedale and Minerva Park schools were built in 1924 during the time when consolidated schools replaced one room schools. The Sharon Township consolidated schools were the first in the township to have electricity, running water and inside toilets among other amenities
